Our Focus
The IIAN Foundation encourages students and emerging professionals to explore careers in the independent insurance industry. Through the annual Foundation Golf Tournament and support from members and partners, these opportunities become possible.

IIAN Foundation Golf Tournament
The annual IIAN Foundation Golf Tournament brings members together for a day of networking, friendly competition, and supporting scholarships for the next generation of independent insurance professionals.
Proceeds from the tournament help support Foundation scholarships and college outreach efforts.

Scholarship Recipients
In Spring 2022, the IIAN Foundation established the Mark B. Lisko Big “I” Nebraska Scholarship in partnership with the University of Nebraska Foundation. The scholarship supports students at the University of Nebraska at Kearney pursuing careers in insurance and related fields.
The Foundation awards this scholarship annually to help introduce talented students to career opportunities within Nebraska’s independent insurance community.

In 2025, the IIAN Foundation and the Greg Donsbach Memorial Foundation established the Greg Donsbach Memorial Scholarship in partnership with the University of Nebraska Foundation. The scholarship supports students at the University of Nebraska at Omaha pursuing careers in insurance, business, and related fields.
