Legislative Advisory Council (LAC)

A member-led group that helps guide Big “I” Nebraska’s advocacy efforts.

What the LAC Does

The Legislative Advisory Council works closely with our lobbyists and leadership to:

• Review legislation impacting independent agents
• Recommend positions on key issues
• Provide industry insight during the legislative session
• Support advocacy efforts at the state level

How the LAC Supports Advocacy

During session, LAC members collaborate with our advocacy team to evaluate proposed legislation and help determine Big “I” Nebraska’s stance on issues affecting the independent agency system.

When appropriate, our leadership and lobbyists testify before legislative committees to represent those positions.
